· Lunch is not provided here. Due to allergies and differences in the children, we find it best that parents provide lunch for their children. We ask that you attempt to make the meal as healthy as possible. I am willing to heat anything necessary in a microwave for the child as needed for toddlers. Parents are responsible for special diet food. For infants, we ask that you bring pre-made bottles to the center with you. Please bring enough for your child’s day and perhaps an extra bottle just in case. If the child runs out of bottles and still has a lengthy amount of time before pick up, parent will be called and made aware that the child will need another bottle or baby food. Bottles will be kept in the fridge to keep safe and warmed up when the child is ready to be fed.
· Snacks WILL be provided. Please see the menus in order to be aware of the snacks that are provided. During your child’s day, they will be provided with a small breakfast and two snacks along with the lunch they bring for themselves. Milk and water are the beverages of preference here at sunshine. Juice may be introduced occasionally but not often. You may choose that your child not be given juice, if you would like.
· There is a dog and cat in the home. Both animals are completely updated on all vaccines. The animals will not come in contact with children if you do not wish. Cricket, is a beagle/terrier mix and very mild tempered. She loves attention and food. She will be kept upstairs for a good part of the day but let outside a few times. There will be baby gates to protect the children from her if you would like. I realize that not everyone is an animal person and may not want their children in contact with animals. As for Thomas, the cat (completely declawed), he stays to himself and will be upstairs as well for the day. If you have any issues with this, please let me know ahead of time.
· In order to keep this as a business relationship, I ask a few things from the parents/guardian. Our restroom is not to be used by anyone other than the children enrolled. This will help keep the area clean for the children. Once it is time to pick up and drop off your child, please do so promptly in order to help the children stick to a schedule and avoid too many people being on the premises at once. Giving medication will be up to my discretion. I understand that some children will need medication from time to time but I will not be responsible during operation hours if it seems to be a problem.
